The Gastonia Grizzlies are excited to promote Charles Bradley as the next Head Coach for the Grizzlies for the 2018 Season.

Bradley has been the Assistant Coach for the past three seasons with the Grizzlies.  He helped lead the Grizzlies to their second CPL Championship win this past season.  In his first season as assistant in 2015 he helped lead the Grizzlies to the CPL West Division Championship.

Grizzlies General Manager, David McDonald, stated, “Charles has exemplified exactly what we want as a Head Coach.  We love to promote from within and this was a no brainer.  One thing we love specifically about Charles is the positivity that surrounds him.  Players love playing for him as he brings that same positive energy every day.”

Bradley said the following, “It is an honor to be the head baseball coach of the Gastonia Grizzlies. What a privilege to be associated with such an incredible organization. I would like to thank David McDonald, Jesse and Emily Cole, and the entire city of Gastonia for their support. This is one of the most successful summer baseball organizations in the country, and I look forward to creating an exciting atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.”

He attended Harding University and also has a graduate degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University.  Charles enjoyed a successful playing career for Harding University. In 2011, he helped lead Harding to the first NCAA Regional appearance in school history setting the school record for wins (42). He left Harding as the all-time leader in sacrifice hits while finishing second in double-plays turned and fourth in assists.  He previously coached at Lenoir-Rhyne University, spending three years there and was responsible for outfield defense, hitting, and assisted with recruiting. After receiving his Master’s degree in 2015, he left Lenoir-Rhyne and founded Bradley Sports.  Bradley Sports is the premier connection specialist for prospective collegiate athletes. They work individually with players throughout the recruiting process and help them find the right school for them.

McDonald is excited about that part of Bradley’s background.  “Charles has a connection with a ton of college coaches through his recruiting work and that should only help to put together a great team.  We’re thrilled to bring him back as the Grizzlies Head Coach.”
